ATTENDEES

The 2018 KS SHRM Conference will host 500+ attendees, the majority of whom will include, senior Human Resources (HR) professionals, supervisors, managers, and directors currently practicing in the Human Resources field.

SPEAKERS

The Conference will include subjects and topics in the HRCI Body of Knowledge and SHRM Body of Competency & Knowledge. All presentations will meet the criteria for recertification credit from both SHRM and HRCI.

CONVINCE YOUR BOSS

You know the conference is strategic for your career, convincing your boss can be just as strategic.  Getting approval to attend the conference is a two-part endeavor.  First, you need to demonstrate the benefits of the conference to your organization.  Next you’ll need to persuade your boss that it’s worth the investment of time and money.

Here’s how…

ENTERTAINMENT

Experience a vibrant and expanding city where the history of the Old West meets high tech aviation and where downtown activities captivate even the busiest traveler. You’ll find a host of things to do in Wichita to enhance your stay.

Indulge in a short (and complimentary) ride to the historic Old Town, a quaint area filled with antique shops, restaurants, nightclubs, the popular seasonal Farmers Market, and entertainment of all sorts. Take a dip in the Hyatt Regency Wichita’s indoor heated pool, or workout in the 24-hour StayFit™  gym.

RESTAURANTS

Sample local flavor with a variety of culinary experiences in the heart of the city. In and around Downtown you’ll find classic Americana on the menu at soda shops, casual lunch spots and fine dining establishments, plus a world of choices exploring regional ingredients and global cuisine. As the birthplace of the original Pizza Hut, Wichita continues to serve as a test market for unique restaurant concepts. Our entrepreneurial spirit lives on with local distilleries and craft breweries, artisan coffees, and inventive food trucks. Look for Kansas-grown ingredients on seasonal menus and always save room for dessert.
