Session Description

The KU School of Business, the Governor’s Education Council, and the Kansas Chamber of Commerce partnered on a project to survey Kansas businesses to define what a skilled workforce in Kansas should look like.  This presentation will report the results of the survey.

Learning Objectives

  1. Report the results of a skilled workforce survey.
  2. Place the survey in economic context for the state of Kansas.
  3. Discuss workforce development for Kansas businesses as defined by the survey.


Dr. Art Hall

Art Hall is the founding Director of the Brandmeyer Center for Applied Economics at the University of Kansas School of Business.  Before joining the KU School of Business in 2004, Hall was Chief Economist in the Public Affairs group of Wichita, KS-based Koch Industries, Inc.
